Milestones
At Ayamadu, every milestone marks a step forward in our journey of growth, innovation, and commitment to quality.
1982 - Syarikat Foong Yik, established as a partnership, distribute chickens to the wet markets in Ipoh.
1984 - Halal slaughterhouse was established in Tambun, Ipoh.
1988 - Own farming operations commenced, through proprietary farms and contract farmers, marking early vertical integration.
1989 - FY Sdn. Bhd. incorporated, transitioning into a structured corporate entity.
1997 - Launch of Ayamadu brand, with nuggets as the first branded product.
1998 - F.Y. Food Processing Sdn. Bhd. established, strengthening downstream processing and product development.
2000 - Relocation into a new processing plant in Chepor (current HQ)
2000 - Obtained VHM and HACCP certifications
2001 - Commenced export to Brunei, Sabah and Sarawak, marking first regional expansion
2003 - Sales office established in Kuala Lumpur
2004 - Achieved ISO 22000:2018 certification, reinforcing international food safety standards
2005 - Expanded export footprint to Japan, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Papua New Guinea
2008 - Constructed a closed-house farm in Sungai Siput, Perak with capacity up to 150,000 birds
2014 - Commenced feedmill production and constructed a 2MW solar plant
2016 - Major upgrade and expansion of the slaughterhouse to support higher throughput
2018 - Constructed a new coldroom facility (capacity: 1800 pallets) to strengthen cold-chain logistics
2019 - Established a fully-cooked product line
2024 - Implemented an integrated ERP system to enhance visibility, traceability, and operational control across the Group.
Present - Expanding blast freezing and chill room capacities to support higher throughput and growing domestic and export demand.
